Outback in the Ozarks is a 205-mile team relay that begins in historic Eureka Springs, Arkansas, travels through the Ozark National Forest and five state parks—mostly along scenic secondary dirt roads—and finishes at Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park in Prairie Grove, Arkansas.This is the option for Ultra Teams, Standard Teams, Connect Teams, and Individual registrations.

The 65-Mile Challenge is a one-day adventure starting Saturday morning with Leg 25 at Lake Fort Smith and finishing with all teams in Prairie Grove. Teams of 4–6 will navigate 12 legs, 65 miles, and take in the stunning scenery of this beautiful stretch of the Outback Relay series.
This is an excellent option for teams looking to participate without running overnight.

Each Standard Team (12 runners) must provide two vans or suburban-type vehicles to transport their team.
Van 1 carries runners #1–6.
Van 2 carries runners #7–12.
At the Race Start in Eureka Springs (Lake Leatherwood City Ballpark), runner #1 from Van 1 begins the race. After finishing their leg, they pass the wrist wrap to runner #2 at the next exchange point. This rotation continues through runner #6. At Exchange 6—a major vehicle exchange—runner #6 hands off to runner #7 from Van 2, who kicks off the next set of legs. Van 2 repeats the process until runner #12 finishes their leg, and then the cycle starts again.
Ultra Teams will use only 1 vehicle and rotate through all 36 legs, with each runner completing multiple legs.
Teams start between 6:00 AM and 12:00 PM on race day, with staggered start times based on your team’s average 10K pace.
