The “Crown” of the Outback series is the 205-miler. It is an overnight running relay that will challenge you in the spirit of teamwork, fun and adventure with your family and friends. We are Arkansas’ most exciting and beautiful race and the ONLY 205-mile team running relay in the country that travels through 5 State Parks!

Each standard team consists of 8-12 runners running 3 legs each. Legs vary from 3 to 8 miles of diverse terrain. There is also an ultra team division made up of 4-6 member teams. The end result is 205-miles covered over two days and one night, ending with an Finish Line Festival, music and a delicious Outback barbie.

Course Details

Your adventure begins at Lake Leatherwood City Park Friday morning with an intense single track climb up a mountain before traveling through Eureka Springs, nicknamed “The Little Switzerland” of Arkansas.

Your journey continues day and night traveling through Hobbs State Park, Withrow Springs, Lake Fort Smith, and Devil’s Den as you wind through 205-miles of the stunningly scenic Ozark Outback in it’s Autumn brilliance. You will finish on Saturday just outside of Fayetteville at Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park.

Think of us as a high-speed walkabout through the best that the Natural State has to offer. From panoramic mountain vistas and rolling valleys, to winding rivers, lush National Forests and 5 scenic State Parks, Outback in the Ozarks will take you to a breathtakingly beautiful “Land Down Under.”
